JOURNEY OF LOVE
Daniel & Vani
We met during a rehearsal for the KMK Telkom University show for the 2015 Misa Angkatan Muda at the Bandung Student Church, and it was a total drama with a lot of “kejar-kejaran”.
Daniel said that he wants to build a relationship with Vani right in the middle of Batununggal basketball court in Bandung, with alot of help from our friends who set everything up. Everyone was there that night to see it happen. That was the moment our love story began.
We had the best time dating, surrounded by super supportive friends and family.
Sadly, since August 2021, we’ve been doing long-distance between Semarang and Lampung. It’s been tough since we only see each other once a year. There were times we almost gave up, but we kept pushing through, bit by bit. Our principle from day one has been “Never say break up”. And here we are, We did it!
Daniel first brought up getting serious in April 2023, but I gently turned it down because I needed more time to get ready mentally and financially. Then, in March 2024, Daniel asked Vani again, saying he was serious and ready to live life together, but Vani still didn’t give him a clear answer.
Finally, on April 13, 2024, Vani said, “I’m ready, I want to be with you” and we decided to take our relationship to the next level.
We got engaged on June 16, 2024. Daniel and his family came to Semarang to ask Vani’s parents for their blessing and let them know he wanted to marry me.
Vani’s parents said yes and gave us their blessing.
After almost a year of planning, we will getting married on June 1, 2025, at St. Petrus Krisologus Church in BSB, Semarang.
